Founded in 2013. Rural Queer Zines has operated in Vermont for over a decade in several rural self defined places throughout the state. RQZ has operated out of Craftsbury Common, Montpelier, Plainfield, Burlington and Hardwick over the years.

RQZ believes Ruralness can only be defined by the perception and the experience of the individual. Just as our own queerness can only be defined by ourselves and one persons definition of queerness might not be another person’s experience.
